Kim Hauck Joins the Ruah Woods Team
August 14, 2024
First, I am excited and honored to be a member at Ruah Woods Institute. I am a believer in the institution of Catholic education. My husband and I had the privilege of raising our children in our parish school along with Catholic high schools.
My life story consists of many chapters. Raised on the west side of Cincinnati and third in the line of four children, my family attended St. Martin of Tours Parish in Cheviot. My parents instilled the value of personal strength in me at a very young age. My passion for organizational work can be traced back to my childhood. From being an officer of my school class, to president of school clubs and an officer role in many activities on the campus of the University of Cincinnati, I have worked to lead and maintain organization from the start. I enjoy getting people excited about the same things that I am excited about. I have always enjoyed the educational experience aspect of each position I have been privileged to hold. I thrive on managing complex schedules, coordination of high-stake events, and ensuring seamless operations. I am passionate about seeing organizations achieve their goals through efficient management, leadership, training, facilitation, scheduling, and organization.
I am a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Marketing. Following graduation, I went into management for Thriftway Markets, where I had the privilege of working under some excellent leadership. For a few years, I left the full-time work force for the most rewarding but by far the hardest career of being a mom. Upon returning to the work force, I entered the world of education with CISE at the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Working under Sr. Katherine Ann Connelly was an eye into the world of education. When I left the Archdiocese of Cincinnati central office, I traveled up I-71 to manage the school office of All Saints in Montgomery, Ohio, where I worked under the leadership of Fr. Dennis Jaspers and Mrs. Mary Stratford. Loving the education field, my next chapter found me across the driveway in the world of high school education. At Moeller High School, I worked as the assistant to the Dean of Students and the Dean of Academics, eventually assisting in the Athletic Office.
My next chapter in life found me still in the education field, this time with Cincinnati Classical Academy, a Hillsdale Charter School. Located on the former campus of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, is where my husband and children attend school, and we were parishioners for 35+ years, I was blessed to serve as the office manager under forward-thinking leader, Mr. Michael Rose. In year two of Cincinnati Classical Academy, I was able to chair the first Classical Renaissance Gala in March of 2024.
After helping with the startup of Cincinnati Classical Academy, I find myself blessed to continue my story at Ruah Woods Institute. As the Executive Assistant at Ruah Woods Institute, I hope to ensure our Executive Director, Mr. Courtney Brown, has the freedom to focus on innovation and growth, while supporting Ruah Woods efforts to share the message of the dignity, identity and call to vocation that each of us is a gift with our God. With over 30 years of experience in office management, my commitment to excellence remains unwavering, and I am eager to embark on this new chapter of my career.
My husband Dave and I are members of Our Lady of the Valley Parish. I have the privilege of being the mom to Kate (Tim) Anderson and Kyle (Jessica) Hauck. I have six beautiful grandchildren, Brayden (17), Emmaline (13), James (12), Will (10), Morgan (10) and Lily (8). My favorite pastimes would include baking, candy making, cruising for travel and, of course, spending time with my family and friends.
